Principal’s Message

I would like to welcome everyone to the 2019-2020 school year here at Johnson Bayou High School.  We are all ready to welcome each and every one of you back on August 9th.  I am hoping you had a relaxing summer and ready to get back to learning.

Johnson Bayou is a small school, but our curriculum, course offerings, and extracurricular activities are second to none.  We work very hard to create a safe and friendly environment that makes our students happy to be a part of our school.  We strive to give each student the individual attention needed to achieve his/her academic best.

Our teachers have attended professional development in the areas of Writer’s Workshop, American Reading Company, Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports, Cooperative Learning Strategies, Springboard, Eureka Math, and new science and social studies resources, just to name a few.  Some of these were implemented last year, and some are new for this academic year.

Johnson Bayou High School is a great place for students to grow educationally and get involved in extracurricular activities and co-curricular activities.    We offer an excellent curriculum with top-notch teachers who are very supportive of their students.

We strive to make each and every one feel welcome not only to our school, but to our community.  So if you have recently joined our community, WELCOME!!  Feel free to come in or call any time if you think we can assist you.  In our eyes, there is no better place to live, work, and get an education than in Johnson Bayou.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call.
