Principal’s Message

Welcome to the 2023-202 school year!

My dad always told me… “Get your education, because no one can take it away from you, it’s yours forever.”  I consider it a privilege to serve as Johnson Bayou’s principal, supporting teachers and staff and the educational and emotional growth of all students’ Pre-K through 12th.

Enthusiasm, curiosity, and asking lots of questions creates a positive environment where the imagination of young minds can flourish.

I will help teachers motivate students by instilling critical thinking skills, a global perspective, and respect for core values such as integrity, perseverance, compassion, and honesty.

By partnering with community stakeholders, our faculty and staff will create opportunities for lifelong learning and responsible citizens that are prepared to meet the challenges of their futures.

Our families are our student’s first and most important teachers.  Parents play a vital role in the education of their children.  I, along with all of the faculty, invite the parents to take an active role in supporting their child’s learning journey.  Families working together with teachers will build strong relationships in the best interests of the child.

I will always have an open door policy to discuss ideas, questions, concerns relevant to student centered learning.
