JBHS Students and you can make a difference in our world! Due to current circumstances and the need for bottled waters at Johnson Bayou High School, students have taken the initiative to recycle and reduce plastic waste on campus since returning to school. Help us make "every day" Earth Day!

Congratulations to JBHS 4-H members who participated and placed in the Cameron Parish 4-H Virtual Arts Day! We are excited to see the growth and participation of members in this year's 4-H Club. Members also have an opportunity to participate in 4-H Camp and 4-H University this summer. Contact Mrs. Engler or Mrs. Brittany Zaunbrecher, Cameron Parish Extension Agent, for more information.

Last week Middle School and High School students participated in a LEAP QUIZ BOWL in preparation for this weeks' Louisiana State Test. Each day students were quizzed on testing subjects against their peers to earn points for their team. The winning Quiz Bowl team received a $10 gift card and bonus points in each of their class. We then ended the competitive week with a fun Jeopardy game and the Jeopardy winning team recieved a free snack each day this week. They have worked hard preparing! Here are a few tips to help them succeed during testing week. Get plenty of rest! Eat a good Breakfast! Be on time! Follow directions! Do your best!

JBHS athletics is selling raffle tickets for $5 each, and the drawing will be on May 27th, the last day of school. Get ready for summer with this raffle! The raffle includes the following: a 50 qt Coleman cooler on wheels, 2 beach towels, 2 insulated tumblers, 2 folding chairs, sunblock, horseshoe game set, and a 10x10 canopy. Payment recieved at the time of purchase, and you don’t have to be from Johnson Bayou to purchase a ticket. Call the school for more information or to buy a book of tickets. Be sure to ask a JBHS athlete for your raffle ticket today!
