Intro
WELCOME BACK...To the 2024-2025 school year here at Johnson Bayou! I am very excited to be a part of this staff, community, school system, but most importantly, as a part of your child's educational experience! I may be new to the area, but not new to the profession of teaching. Teaching is not just a job,but a lifestyle and it is one that I have enjoyed for over twenty-seven years! I have served in many capacities throughout those years, as a Classroom Teacher, a Mentor for new teachers, a Gifted teacher/coordinator, a Literacy Coach, a Curriculum Coordinator and a Master Teacher. I have also represented the Louisiana Department of Education as a guest speaker and I have published works with Dr. Paul Mooney, of LSU and the connection of vocabulary knowledge to the student's success rate in various subject areas.
I look forward to working with each of you throughout the school year. Do not hesitate to contact me about any suggestions, concerns or needs you or your child might have.
