Principal’s Message

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!

Welcome back to another exciting school year! It is truly a pleasure to see so many familiar faces alongside the many new families and staff members who are joining our school community. Whether this is your first year with us or you've been a part of our family for years, we are so glad you are here. Welcome to our bayou!

As we begin this new school year, I want to take a moment to celebrate all that we accomplished together last year. Thanks to the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the unwavering support of our families, we experienced tremendous growth on our end-of-year assessments. Those achievements are something we can all be proud of because they represent more than scores—they represent perseverance, commitment, and the belief that every child can succeed.

This year brings even more excitement as we welcome several new faces to our faculty and staff. Each of them brings unique talents, fresh ideas, and a passion for helping students thrive. I know you'll make them feel right at home as they become part of our bayou family.

We also have a wonderful new addition to celebrate—our Early Learning Center. This new opportunity allows us to begin building strong educational foundations earlier than ever before. It represents an investment in our youngest learners and a commitment to preparing them for years of future success. We are excited to watch our littlest learners grow and flourish.

As principal, I firmly believe that educating children is a partnership. Our teachers cannot do it alone, and neither can our families. When schools and families work together, incredible things happen. I encourage every parent, grandparent, guardian, and family member to become actively involved in your child's education. Attend school events, communicate with teachers, celebrate successes, and encourage perseverance through challenges. Your involvement sends a powerful message to your child that their education matters, and together we can help them reach their fullest potential.

I also want each of you to know that my door is always open. Whether you have ideas that could benefit our school, questions about your child's educational experience, or concerns that need to be addressed, I welcome those conversations. Every stakeholder—students, families, staff members, and community partners—plays an important role in making our school stronger. By listening to one another and working together with mutual respect, we can continue building a school where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their best.

To our students, this is your year. Come ready to learn, to ask questions, to work hard, to be kind, and to encourage one another. Don't be afraid to challenge yourselves, because growth happens when we step outside of our comfort zones.

To our teachers and staff, thank you for the countless hours you invest in preparing classrooms, planning lessons, and caring for our students. Your passion and dedication make a lasting difference every single day.

And to our families, thank you for trusting us with your children. It is an honor and a responsibility that we never take lightly.

As we begin this new journey together, I am filled with excitement and optimism. We have accomplished great things, but I truly believe our best days are still ahead of us. Together, we will continue to grow, to learn, to celebrate achievements, and to support one another through every challenge.

Let's make this school year one filled with excellence, opportunity, kindness, and success. Together, we'll make it a year to remember.

Welcome back, welcome to our bayou, and let's have an incredible school year!

Thank you, and God bless each of you.
